Big Island Meadery

"An absolute Gem in the rough. Once you follow all the signs they have posted from the road to their location you will find a very beautiful meadery bar styled place. The place is clean and inviting. The staff seemed very happy and knowledgeable about their drinks. We order two flights which come with a flavor card. Every mead was objectively good in its own way. You can sit inside or in this back outside covered area. I used the bathroom and it was absolutely spotless and just great aesthetically. They have a really cute sidewall gift shop with Bee wax products and other meat stuff. We even ordered a bottle of the Jaboticaba to take home. That was so on point. They don't overdo the alcohol content and made for a very relaxing night with my partner. This place is a definite visit for anyone looking to kill and hour or two and have a great experience."

"This place is a gem. I almost don't want to tell people about it, but they deserve the credit. Fantastic atmosphere and decor, incredibly friendly staff, super local, and never too crowded. Plus, they are all about the mead, and so you know they could never sell out by producing cheap seltzer. Come get a drink or fill your growler - I highly recommend the traditional sweet (everything a sweet cider ever wanted to be), and the lilikoi ginger (for something unique, tropical, and excellent)... but there is such a variety of flavors to choose from. Maybe just get a flight? My Viking ancestors approve. Apparently, they do parties too! And host an annual local honey competition. Check them out!"

"You’ve never had mead like this before and you definitely should. I honestly can’t rave enough about the hospitality and the amazing quality of Big Island Meadery. Incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the mead they produce. Honestly if you are on the big island this place is a must go."
