"It’s hard to explain, but I just never felt welcome in this establishment, even after four visits and very generous tips during my two-day stay. When I was here, it was never really that busy. It’s just a weird vibe from the waitresses and bartenders. I sensed a hesitation to help us, and not the warm, fuzzy Aloha feeling I was hoping for. Maybe it was in my head, but people I’m traveling with mentioned they felt the same way. It was the weekend of the annual celebration - or whatever the opposite is - of Hawaii becoming a state. A lot of people are still angry about that, but there’s not a ton of people still alive who knew this place before it was a state in the 1950s. I mean, I get it. But hospitality pays the bills in Hawaii, and hotel restaurants are notoriously pricey. There are a lot of places to eat around here that aren’t in the hotel, so I feel this place needs a little tune-up. Good news, is the food was pretty good and the drinks were on point."

"Food was delicious! The fish tacos were packed with tangy, flavorful ingredients, and the shrimp pasta was rich and creamy. Even the fries on the side were hearty, crispy, and incredibly satisfying. The beachfront location offered a beautiful view, making our dining experience even more enjoyable."

"We stopped in around sunset and had a great experience. The view over the water is beautiful, and it’s an easy, comfortable place to sit and enjoy it. We ordered the prime rib for two—which could easily serve four—and it was delicious. We also really enjoyed the tiger shrimp “escargot” (served in an escargot dish) and the Dynamite Chicken Karaage with a tasty sauce. Service was attentive and everything felt well-run, even though it was busy. A great spot to relax, enjoy the view, and have a really good meal!"
